From the ABCNews Political Radar, in an otherwise pessimistic piece about Camp Clinton:
In their best case scenario, Clinton aides hope she could win Ohio by 3 to 6 points and squeak out a victory in Texas. They would consider that a good night and reason to fight on to Pennsylvania, which holds its primary on April 22.
Other scenarios, they admit, are not so pretty.
“If she wins Texas and loses Ohio, it becomes a harder argument to make that she can win Pennsylvania,” said the senior advisor.
True enough, but no one thinks it is at all likely that Clinton is going to win Texas and lose Ohio. It is a scenario a Clinton advisor might lay on a gullible reporter because it sounds pessimistic, but subtly lays the predicate for the statement’s logical negative — if she wins Ohio and loses Texas, it becomes an easier argument to make that she can win Pennsylvania.ÂÂ
Though some polls show Obama within the margin or error of Clinton in Ohio, Chris Bowers thinks Obama cannot overcome Clinton’s advantage in the early voting unless he wins by five points or so. Thus, the Clinton advisor has also put forth a best-case scenario that seems achievable in Ohio, if not in Texas. Yet ABCNews shows none of the typical skepticism regarding the expectations game. Maybe they just feel sorry for Clinton at this point.

I missed that this weekend. That seems kind of like a Clinton-hatey thing to say for a guy with a big Hispanic constituency, no? I wonder but that Baracky and he haven’t had VP talks. It would make a lot of sense kind of since Baracky is an idiot when it comes to foreign policy.

Except that Richardson is also an idiot on foreign policy. But at least he didn’t hire Monica Lewinsky. You sorta hafta wonder how inept the Clintons are to have Richardson’s endorsement elude them… but no, you really don’t.

Yeah, but Richardson can pretend that he’s not an idiot, like Madeline Albright did.

Right. Yes. Richardson, not too smart, but the media for some reason have a lot invested in his “foreign policy acumen” is all. Like how John Warner is Mr. Defense Guy even though he’s just a doddering geriatric pansy. It would just make sense cause of that and cause of Obama’s Hispanic Problem, sort of a two birds one stone kind of thing.

Pansy? He dated Barbara Walters! Rick Ellensburg is going to be all over that….
