althouse is an admitted obabmacan.
lulz, i told u guyz this was gonna happen.
in the general O will try to cleave off the theocons on mccains ESCR voting record. if mccain tries to run right then O can scare the pro-choice independents into camp obama.
Comment by nishizonoshinji on 2/29 @ 2:50 pm #
obamacan
Comment by Dan Collins on 2/29 @ 2:51 pm #
If you think that means I’m going to defect to Obama, nishi, you’re out of your cotton picking mind.
Comment by nishizonoshinji on 2/29 @ 2:53 pm #
from allah’s link–
Huckabee said he spoke with Hagee, expressed his “disappointment and surprise†and asked him to hold off on publicly backing McCain.
hahaha!
of course!
they’re chums!
i think…..mccain better denounce hagee before the MSM finds out about the leftbehinder shit.
Comment by nishizonoshinji on 2/29 @ 2:55 pm #
where else can u go dan?
come…….come…..turn to the darkside…feel the power of the darkforce…
Comment by Jim in KC on 2/29 @ 2:58 pm #
Is that supposed to be some sort of dog whistle, Collins? One that only mid-westerners can hear or something?
‘Cuz if we can’t figure out that “Barack Obama” is kind of an exotic, maybe Arab-y sounding name and need to have “Hussein” thrown in there to get us riled up, I’m not sure you can expect us to be able to define papist…
Comment by Dan Collins on 2/29 @ 3:03 pm #
It’s an annoyance, more than anything else, Jim. We RCs can take care of ourselves. What’s astonishing, though, is that someone bright like nishi could suppose for an instant that what Obama represents is Greater Tolerance.
That’s nuts.
Comment by nishizonoshinji on 2/29 @ 3:10 pm #
hahaha
i did time in the intellectual scold’s bridle of the catholic church.
ur not foolin me on “tolerance” for a heartbeat.
Comment by thor on 2/29 @ 3:13 pm #
Dan, I take it you didn’t watch Soul Train when you were a kid.
Don Cornelius for Veep!
Comment by McGehee on 2/29 @ 3:16 pm #
Dan, you really need to stop equating “bright” with “wise.” I dropped my Mensa membership because so many of those extremely intelligent people were also extremely stupid.
Comment by nishizonoshinji on 2/29 @ 3:16 pm #
from allah’s linkage–
In “Jerusalem Countdown: A Prelude To war†Hagee has stated that Jews brought the Holocaust upon themselves by rebelling against God and that the Holocaust was God’s way of forcing Jews to move to Israel where, Hagee predicts according to his interpretation of Biblical scripture, they will be mostly killed in the apocalyptic Mideast conflict Hagee’s new lobbying group seems to be working to provoke and which John Hagee believes to be a necessary precondition for the “Rapture†that will lift Christians, but not Jews, bodily into Heaven to enjoy physical immortality amidst paradise.
see?
to leftbehinders the jews are fungeable.
Comment by Dan Collins on 2/29 @ 3:16 pm #
I watched Soul Train all the time, thor.
Comment by Dan Collins on 2/29 @ 3:18 pm #
Now you sound like Amanda, nishi. It’s a common story. I recommend you get over it.
Comment by nishizonoshinji on 2/29 @ 3:19 pm #
hmmm…i think mccain better run from hagee like a scalded cat.
in restrospect accepting that endorsement was awful stupid.
did mccains handlers vet hagee at all????
this is shaping up to be a blogstorm.
nasty weather.
Comment by Dan Collins on 2/29 @ 3:21 pm #
And Obama better get away from Wright as quickly as possible, nishi. Only I don’t think McCain attends Hagee’s church.
Comment by nishizonoshinji on 2/29 @ 3:23 pm #
also, like one of my favorite sayings in arabic…
u know how we say, “lie down with dogs, get up with fleas?”
the arabs say, “lie down with wolves, get up with wounds.”
Comment by David R. Block on 2/29 @ 3:25 pm #
That would be one tremendous Sunday drive to church–from Arizona to San Antonio. Shoot, the Texas part of that ALONE is 590 miles.
Comment by nishizonoshinji on 2/29 @ 3:27 pm #
but Dan…the invulnerability coating is working.
i dont completely unnerstand it…look wat althouse says…
I think Barack Obama didn’t go far enough distancing himself from Louis Farrakhan, but,/b> McCain stood on a stage with John Hagee and openly accepted his endorsement.
mccain is worse accordin to Ann.
Comment by nishizonoshinji on 2/29 @ 3:29 pm #
i predict the hagee youtube will get a lot more views than anything about Wright or Farrakhan.
i wonder why that is.
Comment by MayBee on 2/29 @ 3:36 pm #
mccain is worse accordin to Ann.
Well yeah. Ann’s a Democrat that voted for Obama.
Comment by nishizonoshinji on 2/29 @ 3:41 pm #
this is why i think….
Very much like Farrakhan, Hagee has regularly made remarks about current events and other religions that many would find alarming. But unlike Farrakhan, he has never truly faced the scrutiny of the mainstream press, and major politicians like Joe Lieberman and John McCain have freely associated with him.
the startle factor.
it is like muckracking.
Comment by nishizonoshinji on 2/29 @ 3:44 pm #
wow…..watch the video
Comment by Rob Crawford on 2/29 @ 3:46 pm #
Are you *ever* going to just admit you’re a bigot?
Comment by psycho... on 2/29 @ 3:47 pm #
Intra-flock jibber-jabber is tedious. If you guys believe what you believe, then yeah, those other guys are all the devil. Good. Enjoy. Swearing at people is fun. Then we live.
But this, from the second link –
– this hurts.
Oh, Allah. Keeping up this universal standard of rube-denunciation since the TNR/Hot Air/Reason anti-Paul-fest — for which it was only an expediency, remember? — has wrecked your mind. We miss you so much.
This “Whore of Babylon” crap is funny, dammit. Remember? Shit. Don’t go out like this. Photoshop a rubber snake in his hand. Put a McCain bumper sticker on his forehead if you have to, but, sweet Jesus, not this.
Comment by happyfeet on 2/29 @ 3:48 pm #
It hardly matters. McCain is not-Obama. That’s what’s going to put him over the top if anything will. Is Hagee a not-Obama thing? Why, yes, I think he is. There’s that then.
Comment by happyfeet on 2/29 @ 3:54 pm #
Also I still have no idea who this Hagee is cause they block YouTube here. I’ll try a proxy later, but, anyway, all this sort of associationy nonsense gets cleanslated if he picks a strong VP, and if he picks a Hick-style VP, then I really can’t even be a part of any of this anyway.
Comment by nishizonoshinji on 2/29 @ 3:56 pm #
feets the ppl in the max blumenthal video are terrifying.
u have to watch.
im pretty sure i know where the email spam about O being the antichrist is coming from now.

Obama in a can?
Comment by nishizonoshinji on 2/29 @ 4:05 pm #
dont matter pablo.
the sheilds are holding.
for some reason hagee is gonna be a BFD where wright is not.
Comment by Carin on 2/29 @ 4:05 pm #
The funniest thing, is we are supposedly in the position where we are supposed to be DEFENDING McCain. When the large majority of us didn’t want him. Most of us are gonna vote for him simply because he’s not Hillary or Obama. McCain could tongue-kiss Hagee on stage, and I still wouldn’t vote for a Dem.
I’m voting for notHillary or notObama.
But, for the record – the association of Obama with Wright is more troubling than the endorsement of McCain by Hagee.
McCain needed a shot in the arm with the evangelicals. Politicians do what they have to do to get votes. That’s why Obama twists every which way in the winds telling everyone else what they want to hear (NAFTA, anyone?) More important is what they actually believe.
So, is Obama afrocentric? And, is that a quality you desire in a president?
Comment by Pablo on 2/29 @ 4:07 pm #
Only in your mind, nishi, and those of your fellow travelers. America won’t even notice, let alone care.
Comment by nishizonoshinji on 2/29 @ 4:07 pm #
carin i think u shud watch the max blum video.
those ppl are freakin lobbyists for the apocalypse.
Comment by happyfeet on 2/29 @ 4:09 pm #

we are talkin about the one althouse linked which is just hagee giving a lecture on the whore of babylon and the blood of the jews.
Comment by Pablo on 2/29 @ 4:17 pm #
Try Google. McCain Hagee, 128K results. Obama Wright 481K results.
Do the math.

I don’t feel like watching the video, Nishi, but tell me … is McCain in the background doing an Amen? Does McCain attend his church?

carin these ppl are lobbying for the apocalypse.
its a little different.
Comment by happyfeet on 2/29 @ 4:31 pm #
Oh. I think I found it. He keeps pointing to this like lady on a tiger or something. He’s pretty clearly bonkers, but he’s also disturbingly unabashedly like unattractive. Like even if you’re fat you don’t have to look like that, which makes me think he’s one of those totally unselfaware people that really don’t know just how far they’ve let themselves go. I always feel sorry for people like that but not enough to try to help.
Comment by nishizonoshinji on 2/29 @ 4:33 pm #
hahaha, ok it wasnt me.
im pure as the driven snow.
Comment by Pablo on 2/29 @ 4:33 pm #
…from my people, who are lobbying for Xanadu.
Comment by happyfeet on 2/29 @ 4:34 pm #
Ick though. McCain needs to associate with a better class of people I think. Trashy.
Comment by nishizonoshinji on 2/29 @ 4:35 pm #
feets u shud watch the max blumenthal video at TPM
they are ALL fat.
and they are lobbying for the apocalypse, they want america to bomb Iran to bring on the Rapture.
Comment by happyfeet on 2/29 @ 4:39 pm #
Ok. I feel like I’m still catching up. Who would be responsible for McCain thinking these were people he needed to slobber all over?
Comment by B Moe on 2/29 @ 4:42 pm #
u shud watch the max blumenthal video at TPM
they are ALL fat.
and they are lobbying for the apocalypse, they want america to bomb Iran to bring on the Rapture.
Uh, u shud watch the video again, nishi. And try to pay attention this time.
Comment by Carin on 2/29 @ 4:48 pm #
carin these ppl are lobbying for the apocalypse.
its a little different…
Like, actually lobbying? In Washingtond DC? That is troubling.
That they are fat, though, really seals the deal. Where do I go to get my Obama sticker?
Comment by happyfeet on 2/29 @ 4:51 pm #
Well, no. I said specifically he looked like hell and that he didn’t have to just cause he was fat but he did anyway cause he’s obviously just not a very well put together kind of guy. Like really obviously.
Comment by happyfeet on 2/29 @ 4:59 pm #
Also he’s bonkers.
Comment by MC on 2/29 @ 5:27 pm #
It appears from the results of history that Americans have not elected a President on the basis of their eschatology. There’s certainly a Christian based eschatology that understands portions of scripture in a prophetic context and there are several other Christian eschatologies that vary in that scope. Americans expect tolerance with each other as regards belief.
I don’t expect that because Hagee grants support to McCain and McCain accepts it that Hagee has the expectation that McCain embraces his eschatalogy. I certainly don’t think that’s what it means.
But all that is certainly a far cry from Mr. Obama’s nanny-state religion that takes from my productive hands and gives to those who will waste it and who promises to inhabit our lives with the benign state. That’s the inherited eschatology from the far left that he offers and while I’m willing to tolerate what they believe, I won’t support that admixture of church and state.
Comment by Rob Crawford on 2/29 @ 5:38 pm #
Yeah, but the resident illiterate doesn’t care if *those* theocrats take power.
Comment by happyfeet on 2/29 @ 5:59 pm #
Yes. MC is right. Grumpy posts today, or I mean posts that make me grumpy. Hagee is repulsive and McCain is really needing to not hang with the repulsive cause I just got all used to being he who votes for McCain. Before then we had royalty. Gack. I hate royalty. They for real should all die screaming. And Andy and big gay breakthrough. And then Sharon with her bleach job and her midlife crisis. I hope Thor flushes her cats. Not really great notes to end the week on.
Comment by Obstreperous Infidel on 2/29 @ 6:03 pm #
C’mon happy. Hang in there. Every’ting gonna be alright. Uh-huh.
Comment by happyfeet on 2/29 @ 6:10 pm #
I guess. Everything’s just so heavy. And Jeff is really a lot quiet today. There’s been a lot of stupid what needs addressing, like that barryL. And I’m just too tired to give it much of a go. And also Shakira has been drifting into my office all day from NG’s office. That can’t be helping.
Comment by McGehee on 2/29 @ 6:12 pm #
The more I watch this campaign, the more I think McCain is taking campaign advice from Nishi.
Comment by MarkD on 2/29 @ 6:16 pm #
Obama gets outed for telling the Canadians he was just posturing when he told those rubes from Ohio that he didn’t really mean it when he bashed NAFTA. Althouse jumps in with “McCain endorsed by Fundie Nut nobody ever heard of.” Crowd immediately jumps on McCain.
Edwards was a slicker lawyer than Althouse will ever be. How did he lose?
That saying about the intelligence of the American people? It remains to be proven, but judging by the comments here, it may be true. Or ADHD has become an epidemic.
Comment by Education Guy on 2/29 @ 6:42 pm #
It won’t matter. Even if you think the American people are as stupid as nishi seems to think they are, they are not so stupid as to miss the fact that whenever Obama opens his mouth relating to policy he says something idiotic. He’s a rookie, and that’s going to be very clear by the time we get to November.
That said, McCain is still an ass. Nothing has changed on that front. The people will still take an ass who will do right by them over a hopeychangy pup who only panders to the crowd he’s in front of.
Comment by MC on 2/29 @ 7:10 pm #
I pray you are right EG.
Comment by Obstreperous Infidel on 2/29 @ 7:11 pm #
I’m taking the primary off, but in the general I’ll vote for McCain. I guess I’ll take the ass over the pup. As Jeff says, they’re both statists, but the pup looks to be on a whole other level.
Comment by MC on 2/29 @ 7:29 pm #
Rob: Yeah, but the resident illiterate doesn’t care if *those* theocrats take power.
Which certainly represents a problem. Many of those who stormed the Bastille were of the same sort of illiterati, filled with rather yes-we-can expectations not realizing that they were laying palm fronds for Robespierre and Napoleon.
Am I being too hopey to think that there are enough of us who will stand athwart history yelling, ‘Stop!’?
Comment by happyfeet on 2/29 @ 7:31 pm #
I got my athwarty on.
Comment by The Lost Dog on 2/29 @ 7:35 pm #
McCain is beginning to reawaken my sense of humor.
Mr.Tough Guy is deserting everything he claimed to be.
Fuck him, fuck me, fuck everybody. He is toast if he keeps up this wimp shit. I didn’t like him to start with, and now he is out-Doling Dole.
We are fucked. I hope the USA makes it through an Obama presidency, but I have my doubts.
Kruschev was right. We have lost without a shot being fired.
Oh well. Not my problem.
Actually, my problem is a landlord with a grain alcohol buzz (to be kind), and a really bad attitude.
But, hey! I hope that’s not your problem.

but rusty ppl are sick of teh outrage.
and the greenwald message has a lot of recipients, u know, u saps got feared into voting for GW and he spent all ur mortgage money on a stupid war we cant win.
Comment by happyfeet on 2/29 @ 8:34 pm #
We couldn’t help get feared. Bush used words. He’s dangerous eloquent like that.
Comment by Dave M on 2/29 @ 8:48 pm #
Hagee thinks seven hills represent Rome? He thinks that “whore” in prophecy always stands for monotheism in it’s most advanced degree of degeneracy? The next thing you know, he’ll say that the Reformation was neccessary! I just don’t think I’ll ever stop puking with shame and outrage over such gob-smacking Protestantism!!!
Comment by happyfeet on 2/29 @ 8:50 pm #
He’s stupid, Dave. And he looks like a big Jesusy Baby Huey.
Comment by Rob Crawford on 3/1 @ 8:21 am #
This is someone parodying nishi, right? Because that’s a depth of idiocy I’ve never seen plumbed before.
Comment by Rusty on 3/1 @ 8:50 am #
Sick of an outrage manufactured by themselves, for their own amusement. Nuance or subtlety? It’s hard to tell the difference. Changeyhopitude. With all the breathless anticipation of a six year old awaiting the ice cream truck.
Comment by McGehee on 3/1 @ 12:27 pm #
You could be right that it’s not the real Nishi. Still waters run deep and Nishi can’t be still, so I’ve always assumed…
