WDBJ-TV journalists, Alison Parker and Adam Ward, murdered on-air by an evil — and now dead — man [Darleen Click]

It wasn’t “guns” or “NRA” or any other Leftist meme being trotted out in order to make political points while Parker and Ward‘s bodies are still warm; no, this was a possibly mentally ill person who supped long at the well of victimhood, sustained by the Race-baiting Industrial Complex

In the 23-page document faxed to ABC News, the writer says “MY NAME IS BRYCE WILLIAMS” and his legal name is Vester Lee Flanagan II.” He writes what triggered today’s carnage was his reaction to the racism of the Charleston church shooting:

“Why did I do it? I put down a deposit for a gun on 6/19/15. The Church shooting in Charleston happened on 6/17/15…”

“What sent me over the top was the church shooting. And my hollow point bullets have the victims’ initials on them.”

It is unclear whose initials he is referring to. He continues, “As for Dylann Roof? You (deleted)! You want a race war (deleted)? BRING IT THEN YOU WHITE …(deleted)!!!” He said Jehovah spoke to him, telling him to act.

Later in the manifesto, the writer quotes the Virginia Tech mass killer, Seung Hui Cho, calls him “his boy,” and expresses admiration for the Columbine High School killers. “Also, I was influenced by Seung–Hui Cho. That’s my boy right there. He got NEARLY double the amount that Eric Harris and Dylann Klebold got…just sayin.'”

In an often rambling letter to the authorities, and family and friends, he writes of a long list of grievances. In one part of the document, Williams calls it a “Suicide Note for Friends and Family.”

He says has suffered racial discrimination, sexual harassment and bullying at work
He says he has been attacked by black men and white females
He talks about how he was attacked for being a gay, black man

“Yes, it will sound like I am angry…I am. And I have every right to be. But when I leave this Earth, the only emotion I want to feel is peace….”

“The church shooting was the tipping point…but my anger has been building steadily…I’ve been a human powder keg for a while…just waiting to go BOOM!!!!”

So a hearty FUCK YOU to all the assholes who immediately started shouting “GUN VIOLENCE!!” (looking at you, Gov. Terry McAuliffe). This has little to do with guns and everything to do with the sickness, racism and unbounded self-pity in the shriveled soul of Flanagan/Williams.

I’m glad he’s dead. I hope his body is cremated and his ashes disposed of in a septic tank.

CA Gov Jerry Brown’s war on cars and suburbs [Darleen Click]

Not only Moonbeam, mind you, but most of the socialist Democrats in the California state legislature who use the fanatical Green religion as an excuse to strip people of their means of independent transportation and single family homes.

Senate Bill 350, now pending in the Assembly, sets 2020 goals of a 50 percent reduction in petroleum use, having 50 percent of electric power coming from renewable sources, and increasing energy efficiency of buildings by 50 percent.

Senate Bill 32 sets even more ambitious California carbon reduction goals for 2050.

This is serious business.

While Brown and his co-religionists declare that it’s a moral imperative to become a global leader in battling climate change via carbon reduction, the goals they set forth will obviously require massive lifestyle changes and have immense economic effects.

The problem is that we don’t know what those changes and those effects will be.

The oil industry and other opponents of the legislation, mostly in the business community, have issued dire warnings about what could happen, one of which is that California would have to impose rationing on gasoline to meet the 50 percent reduction goal.

[Nancy McFadden, a top aide to Gov. Jerry Brown,] says that’s “ridiculous,” and it may be. But her response implies that she knows something the rest of us don’t know about what steps will be taken to reach the two measures’ goals — what adjustments Californians would have to make in their lives.

They are not in the measures themselves, nor are they in the various documents being distributed to support the proposed policies.

The materials being published by the California Air Resources Board, including a “Climate Change Scoping Plan,” Senate President Pro Tem Kevin de León, author of SB 350, and billionaire Tom Steyer’s supportive organization are full of lofty hopes but bereft of real-life detail.

Who will pay for the millions of electric vehicles they envision replacing conventional cars and energy-efficiency measures?

How will reducing oil-based fuel affect California families, who are already paying some of the nation’s highest gas prices? Will our electric power rates, already among the nation’s highest, increase even more? How will carbon-reduction costs affect the nearly 25 percent of Californians who are poverty-stricken? Most importantly, would being a carbon-reduction leader hurt or help the California economy and its 18 million workers?

While Bernie Sanders is out demonizing the Koch brothers, no one ever seems to hear about people like Tom Steyer — a person who is using his billions to help make the hoi polloi fully dependent on Big Nanny Government.

For our own good, of course.

“You black people, my black people, you are the fucking most violent mother*****rs I have ever seen in my life.” [Darleen Click]

Cue the Left attacks to destroy this woman in 3 … 2 … 1 ….

Inconvenient fact:

Yes, black lives matter, but don’t all lives matter? That seems to be the subject of some political dispute.

When asked which statement is closest to their own views, 78% of Likely U.S. Voters say all lives matter. A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that just 11% say black lives matter. Nine percent (9%) say neither statement reflects their point of view. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

Thirty-one percent (31%) of black voters say black lives matter is closest to their own views, but just nine percent (9%) of whites and 10% of other minority voters agree. Eighty-one percent (81%) of whites and 76% of other minority voters opt instead for all lives matter, and 64% of blacks agree.

French train Muslim jihadist denies being part of terrorist cell. Claims he found AK-47 “under a bush.” [Darleen Click]

Stuff you can’t make up

19.54

Reports are surfacing that the gunman was linked to a jihadist group that planned to attack police before they were shot dead in an anti-terrorism raid in January. Two suspects were killed and a third arrested, close to the border with Germany.

France’s La Voix du Nord newspaper is reporting: “According to our sources, he was part of the same jihadist group which attacked on Belgian anti-terrorist police in a violent fire-fight in January 2015, in Verviers, near Liege.

“It appears that he had been identified as a potential security threat by the Spanish authorities who had alerted French authorities and had asked them for further information about him.”

The newspaper reports Ayoub El-Kahzzani or Qahzzani denies being part of any cell, and simply found the AK-47 under a bush.

20.29

A French official close to the investigation says police have positively identified the train gunman as 26-year-old Moroccan Ayoub El-Khazzani, according to AP. Bernard Cazeneuve, the French interior minister, said earlier on Saturday that Spanish authorities had alerted French intelligence to him in February 2014 because he “belonged to the radical Islamist movement,” and the French put him on a security watch list. El-Khazzani was identified through his fingerprints, according to the official, who insisted on not being identified by name because of the ongoing probe.

UPDATE: Four heroes, including two US servicemen, stop Muslim terrorist on French train [Darleen Click]

Via Geoffb … latest from The Telegraph

Chris Norman: I realised the only way to survive was to go for him

More from that press conference with the British businessman who helped overcome the attacker on the train.

He said: “I was just sitting working on my computer. I saw a man with a Kalashnikov. I said to myself s***.

“I heard an American saying, ‘go get him’, then someone else saying, ‘Don’t you do that buddy’. Then I realised the only way to survive was to go for him.”

He added: “I’m not a hero I just did what I could.”

“The heroes were Spencer Stone and Alek Skarlatos and Anthony Sadler…. The train staff thought they were just fighting. To begin with they didn’t understand what was happening.

“I think his (attacker’s) gun jammed. We’re were incredibly lucky.

“He put up a bit of a fight but Spencer is a strong guy and he succeeded in overpowering him. I held down his arm, his left arm, so he couldn’t get his gun.

“He was relatively thin and not that strong so I didn’t have too much difficulty keeping him pinned down. He was bare-chested….

“All I want to do now is go home and spend time with my family… I didn’t hear him asking for his weapon back. What I did hear was Alek saying stop struggling. We got him down on the floor and tied him up while Alek went to look for other terrorists.”

Mr Norman said he didn’t sleep at all last night. “The great thing is that everyone in the train managed to overpower him without anyone being killed.” […]

15.54
Chris Norman: “My thought was I am going to die anyway so let’s go”

Chris Norman, the British businessman who was on the train with the attacker and tied him up is speaking at a press conference.

He said: “My thought was I am going to die any way so lets go. I’d rather die being active than sitting in the corner being shot.”

Asked if he felt scared, he said: “Once you start moving, you’re not afraid any more.” […]

14.16
Train attacker’s weapon was ‘faulty’

One of the American soldiers who restrained the attacker on the train said that it appeared his weapon was faulty.

Alek Skarlatos, 22, said: “If that guy’s weapon would have been functioning properly I don’t even want to think about how it would have went.”

He also said that the attacker did not seem to know how to handle the gun properly.

Mr Skarlatos told Sky News: “I grabbed the handgun, got the handgun away from the guy and threw it. Then I grabbed the AK which was at his feet and started muzzle-thumping him in the head with it.

“Everybody just started beating on the guy while Spencer held the choke hold, until he went unconscious at that point. People started to restrain him.”

Mr Skarlatos – who said that everyone was just reacting on “adrenaline” – picked up the AK-47 and checked the other cars to ensure there was not another gunman.

Mr Skarlatos returned to car 12, where it all started, cleared the weapons and put them in a pile.

Earlier reports were that the two American servicemen were Marines, it is confirmed as an Airman and National Guard:

12.24

A British consultant and three young Americans have been praised by David Cameron for their bravery after they overpowered a gunman on a train in France.

Chris Norman, 62, was travelling from Amsterdam to Paris aboard the high-speed Thalys train when the heavily armed man opened fire.

He helped US Air Force serviceman Spencer Stone, National Guardsman Alek Skarlatos and Sacramento State University student Anthony Sadler to get the man under control.

Weekend at Bernie’s [Darleen Click]

Just gotta love Michael Ramirez

ramirez_20150821

*Hillary in The Hamptons

As the Democratic front-runner broke from the campaign trail, where she has been dogged by the email scandal connected to her time at the State Department, and headed for her annual vacation in the Hamptons late this week, voters across the country are tuned in this time around.

The Clintons are reportedly staying in the same $50,000 a week beachfront mansion in Amagansett near film executive Harvey Weinstein’s spread, a seven-bedroom house with a lap pool and ocean access, they rented last year. Their daughter, Chelsea, and her family — fresh off a vacation boating and snorkeling with fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg and billionaire mogul Barry Diller in Sardinia — are also expected to join them. Clinton’s two brothers, Hugh and Tony Rodham, are also staying with the family for part of the vacation, a source said.

*A WaPo columnist is telling Hillary to stop digging

This is sounding like “That ’90s Show.” You want to wave off the whole thing as the “same old partisan games we’ve seen so many times before.” That may be therapeutic. It’s not politically smart.

The original mistake — deciding to conduct official government business through a private e-mail account for the sake, you say, of convenience — can’t be undone. But you ought to stop — now! — with the unconvincing claim that you did nothing different from your predecessors as secretary of state.

*HuffPo is writing mushy loveletters for Bernie

Without serious interest from mainstream media, and without billions in campaign funding, the Vermont Senator has been able to generate a nationwide groundswell of enthusiasm. Money can’t buy enthusiasm, and money certainly can’t buy a person’s trust — Sanders has an abundance of both.

Since Bernie Sanders is sincere and known for his direct and forthright communication style, he won’t have to spend any dollars convincing Americans that he’s trustworthy.

Semper Fi: Two Marines prevent certain massacre aboard train bound for Paris [Darleen Click]

The Daily Mail identifies the Americans as Marines.

One of the hero Marines who foiled a planned terror attack on a French train was shot in the neck while disarming the crazed gunman on Friday.

The two unarmed servicemen spotted the 26-year-old Moroccan acting suspiciously and heard him trying to arm his weapon in the toilet of the high speed train between Amsterdam and Paris.

The gunman got on the train in Brussels and attempted his attack soon after crossing the French border.

The 26-year-old Moroccan national, who was known to security services, came out of the toilet brandishing the gun and opened fire. Fortunately, two US Marines were nearby and overpowered him before he could massacre passengers.

The suspected terrorist had at least nine full magazines of ammunition holding almost 300 rounds. He was also carrying a knife.

Unfortunately, one of the Marines was shot although his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening. […]

It is understood that the gunman boarded the train, which had more than 550 passengers on board, in Brussels and made his move as soon as it crossed into France. […]

French media claim that the suspect was previously known to French security services and was living in Spain. He has already been linked to a number of radical Islamic groups. He was classed, according to FranceInfo.fr as ‘potentially dangerous’.

Speaking in Arras, French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve praised the Marines for their timely intervention.

He said: ‘Thanks to them we have averted a drama.

‘(The Americans were) particularly courageous and showed extreme bravery in extremely difficult circumstances.’

I believe we can safely assume the Moroccan wasn’t a Quaker.

CNN says there has been no confirmation on what branch of the US Military these two Americans were part of:

A massacre on a high-speed train in Belgium was prevented Friday when two members of the U.S. military in civilian clothing surprised an Islamist militant, authorities said.

The suspect was loading his automatic Kalashnikov rifle in a toilet, apparently preparing to attack, when the service members confronted him, said a European counterterrorism official.

The gunman fired on them with a handgun, the official said, wounding at least one. Three people were injured aboard the Thalys train traveling from Amsterdam to Paris, authorities said.

The service members overpowered the suspect, who was placed under arrest when the train was rerouted to the French town of Arras, about 115 miles (185 kilometers) north of Paris.

A U.S. military member was wounded, a Pentagon official said.

It was not clear in what branch of the military the Americans served.

Whatever branch they served with, these men exhibited the highest behavior borne of moral character and bravery.

Bravo to all our military troops. May God bless these two, may God bless them all.
